Few little facts about Henley-Park

Henley Park, part of the Henley manor, dates back to the 13th century. The house at Henley Park was built within the confines of the deer park of the Fawley Court Estate, was the dower house to Fawley Court on the River Thames to the east. The house was located in a small park, north of the Fair Mile, leading northwest from Henley. George III a friend of Mrs Freeman, widow of Sambrooke Freeman, visited her here. The visit was somewhat embarrassing for Mrs Freeman who was unwell at the time and so had to let the royal party explore the house on their own as described in the diary of Mrs Philip Lybbe Powys.
